JOIN KAULIKE ACADEMY: A PATH TO EMPOWERED LEARNING

Kaulike Academy is a co-working hub for teens ages 13–19 who homeschool or participate in alternative learning programs.

We are not a traditional K–12 school. Teens bring their own coursework and learning goals; Kaulike provides a safe, structured space to work, connect, and grow alongside other teens.

Members have access to:

Co-working space and Wi-Fi
Accountability and peer community
Optional tutoring and GED support
Mentorship and real-world learning opportunities
Programs including Tech Savvy Teens, Keiki Rise, and ʻŌpio Mākeke

Kaulike is open Tuesday–Thursday, 9:30 AM–2:30 PM with a small community of up to 20 teens.

Families may choose the level of support that works best for their teen:

Co-Working Membership — $99/month

Access to the teen co-working hub Tuesday–Thursday
Check-ins, focus time, and accountability
Peer community and mentorship
3 volunteer hours/month

Co-Working + Tutoring — $149/month

Everything included in Co-Working
Tutor available Tuesday–Thursday for additional academic support
Help with homeschool or online coursework

Co-Working + GED Support — $199/month

Everything included in Co-Working
GED tutoring and test preparation support
Help staying on track toward GED goals

Yearly Membership Fee

One-Time Application Fee: $99

Membership is available year-round based on space.

Kaulike Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Membership fees and family volunteer hours help us maintain an affordable, safe, and supportive co-working community for teens.

Kaulike does not provide K–12 curriculum, credits, or diplomas. Families remain responsible for their teen's homeschool, online school, GED, or alternative education program.

AT NA LAMA KUKUI, DISCOVER OUR YOUTH-LED HUB

We are excited to announce Kaulike Academy is now located at The Coop at Nā Lama Kukui, 560 N. Nimitz Hwy, Suite 217F.

Nā Lama Kukui is a vibrant lifestyle and design center in the Iwilei district, owned by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA). The name, meaning “the kukui torches,” symbolizes light, guidance, and progress—values that align with Kaulike’s mission of empowering youth to lead, learn, and thrive.

Our space, The Coop, is intentionally simple: a one-room co-learning and co-working hub where youth ages 13–19 set the tone, arrange the space, and manage their daily flow. With plenty of parking, food options in the building, and a central location, it’s the perfect home for our youth-led community.
