JOIN KAULIKE ACADEMY: A PATH TO EMPOWERED LEARNING

Kaulike Academy is Hawaiʻi’s first youth-led co-learning and co-working hub for ages 13–19. We are not a traditional school — instead, we provide a structured, cooperative space where youth gain independence, mentorship, and real-world skills. Our hub is designed for up to 20 youth at a time, keeping the environment focused, safe, and collaborative. Members participate in:

Daily check-ins, focus blocks, and accountability boards to build independence
Tutoring and GED support for homeschoolers, independent learners, and alternative pathways
Hands-on projects in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, digital skills, and cultural programs
Youth-led initiatives like Tech Savvy Teens, ʻŌpio Mākeke, and Keiki Rise

Kaulike operates as a cooperative — families support the hub through tuition or student volunteer service. Scholarships are available to ensure inclusivity and access. Enrollment is open year-round. Whether joining the 3-day learning cooperative (Tue–Thurs) or accessing the space as a co-working member (Mon–Fri), Kaulike provides the tools, mentors, and community youth need to thrive.

2025-2026 Full Year Tuition

YEAR ROUND OPEN ENROLLMENT

Families may choose from three membership pathways:

Option 1: Basic Co-Working

$99/month + 3 volunteer hours/month
Includes: daily check-ins, focus blocks, accountability board, and access to the youth co-working space

Option 2: Co-Working + Tutoring (Curriculum Support)

$149/month + 3 volunteer hours/month
Includes: Basic + weekly tutoring (up to 45 min/day) and accountability for homeschool/online curriculum (T, W, TH)

Option 3: Co-Working + Tutoring (GED Pathway)

$199/month + 3 volunteer hours/month
Includes: Basic + GED tutoring, prep resources, and portfolio building (T, W, Th)

Application Fee: $99 (non-refundable, one-time)
Enrollment: Open year-round

Kaulike Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Contributions — whether financial or service-based — ensure we can provide an affordable, high-quality, and culturally grounded co-learning environment for all youth ages 13–19.

AT NA LAMA KUKUI, DISCOVER OUR YOUTH-LED HUB

We are excited to announce Kaulike Academy is now located at The Coop at Nā Lama Kukui, 560 N. Nimitz Hwy, Suite 217F.

Nā Lama Kukui is a vibrant lifestyle and design center in the Iwilei district, owned by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA). The name, meaning “the kukui torches,” symbolizes light, guidance, and progress—values that align with Kaulike’s mission of empowering youth to lead, learn, and thrive.

Our space, The Coop, is intentionally simple: a one-room co-learning and co-working hub where youth ages 13–19 set the tone, arrange the space, and manage their daily flow. With plenty of parking, food options in the building, and a central location, it’s the perfect home for our youth-led community.
