FORMERLY ACTON DIGITAL ACADEMY
Kaulike Academy empowers Native Hawaiian youth through a learner-driven education focused on independence, cultural pride, and personal growth. Our mission is to guide students toward meaningful, fulfilling lives and successful careers, grounded in Hawaiian values of justice and equality. While we focus on supporting Native Hawaiian youth, we welcome students from all backgrounds to thrive in our inclusive, self-directed learning environment.
At Kaulike Academy, our executive staff collaborates closely with volunteer parents and educators from the community to create a supportive and dynamic environment for our students. This unique partnership fosters a mentoring culture where experienced leaders, committed parents, and passionate educators work hand-in-hand to guide students along their individual learning journeys.
This collaborative approach is pivotal to the academy's learner-driven model, which emphasizes student agency, personalized education, and real-world skill development. By engaging parents and community members as active participants, Kaulike Academy ensures that students not only benefit from academic mentorship but also learn the value of community involvement and giving back.
Through these efforts, students are empowered to become confident, capable individuals who are deeply connected to their community. This model not only reinforces the academy's commitment to inclusivity and innovation but also establishes a foundation for students to develop leadership skills, empathy, and a strong sense of social responsibility. This partnership between staff, parents, and educators exemplifies the academy’s vision of fostering a truly learner-centered and community-focused educational experience.
To inspire Native Hawaiian youth to embrace their unique gifts and become empowered individuals, contributing to their communities and the world.
